Our Story
Nino’s Masala is a family business with humble origins.
We started over 20 years ago in Aberdeen, selling our products at local food events and farmers markets. Our sauces have proved to be very popular amongst the local community and are always in demand. The Masala Sauce was our first product, based on a family recipe which has been passed down generations. The brains behind the sauce is Nino, the mother of our family who has decades of experience in lecturing South Asian cuisine and has an immense passion for the art of cooking. More recently, we developed Nino’s Korma Paste in collaboration with Abertay University in Dundee.
We believe in sourcing our ingredients fresh and locally as far as possible to provide a truly authentic taste and healthy experience. Our products are what we use to cook with at home and we truly believe that Nino’s recipe provides the most authentic experience of South Asian cuisine possible. Our ambition is to give a wider range of customers the opportunity to try our sauces and see the difference for themselves which is why we have launched our online sales channel.
Most important of all, our products are free from additives and preservatives, and are fully suitable for both our vegetarian customers and meat lovers.
